The Solemnity of St. Joseph is March 19 each year. The Sicilian tradition every year is to set up an altar in honor of St. Joseph who, many years ago, answered the prayers of the Sicilian community in their time of drought. As a remembrance of his patronage to the community, this is an opportunity for the community to gather and eat a meal, shared with each other and remembering Christ among us in the members of our community.
Both the school and parish communities prepared an altar. Enjoy the pictures!
