Christ's peace to all of you and your families! By now many of you have heard that we have a new principal for Holy Ghost School. After a thorough review and interview process, I am honored to announce that Karen Wilder has been asked to serve as principal of Holy Ghost School. Just as she did when she accepted the challenge to serve as interim principal back in January, Karen has graciously accepted the new challenge and adventure to continue on as our principal. Thank you, Karen!
Karen has many years of experience in Catholic education, beginning at Mater Dolorosa School in Independence and then with us at Holy Ghost. She is an educator who gives much heart and has applied her faith and knowledge to educating children in a Catholic environment focused on academic excellence and undergirded by our Christian values. All of us at Holy Ghost are blessed by her knowledge, thoughtfulness, hard work and dedication to the betterment of our students, parents and families of our school community.
Special thanks are in order to the Catholic Schools Office of the Diocese of Baton Rouge, especially Dr. Cindy Ryals, associate superintendent, Timothy DePaula, chair, Holy Ghost School advisory board for their guidance throughout the process of interviewing and selecting a new principal. As we move forward towards the future, it is important to recognize and thank our previous principal, Mrs. Donna Wallette, for nearly a decade of service at Holy Ghost and the accomplishments at our school made possible by her expertise and dedication.
As we conclude Teacher Appreciation Week, let us also thank our teachers for their service and ask God to continue blessing our school.
