The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Albert the Great #2050 celebrated 53 years of their establishment by dedicating this anniversary to St. Veronica. To celebrate, they shared a meal together at Murphy's Seafood Restaurant with some of their husbands and the Dominican friars, including their chaplain, Fr. Cayet Mangiaracina, OP.

With deep reverence, we dedicate ourselves to the example set by St. Veronica, the Saint of Kindness and Charity. Through her courageous and compassionate act of wiping the face of Jesus on His path to Calvary, she showed the world the power of love, even in the most trying moments. St. Veronica's selflessness reminds us that every small act of kindness has the potential to bring healing and comfort. Inspired by her unwavering dedication to others, may we strive to offer our hearts and hands in service to those in need, spreading Christ's Love and mercy through acts of charity, no matter how big or small.

St. Veronica is one example of the necessary qualities to be a saint: humility. She showed her love for Christ through a simple and humble act of kindness: wiping the bloodied face of Jesus during His Passion.


The Catholic Daughters of our parish celebrated this accomplishment by remembering how the Lord has blessed them to carry out the many acts of kindness and charity in the community.

This was also an opportunity to recognize the extra mile that some of their members go in carrying out the different ministries of Catholic Daughters. The Catholic Daughter of the Year award was befittingly given to Mary Ann Carder. Additionally, all of the daughters gave a standing ovation to the regent, Susan Alfonso, for her tireless work and dedication over many years to this ministry.
